A Change Is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke

I was looking around Youtube, searching for Sam shit to post and when I came across this tribute, I had to post it. To all who suffered, still suffer and fight for the goodness of man, Sam's words and his voice are speaking for you. The smoothest motherfucker of all-time, with one of the most poignant song's ever written. Long live his thoughts and words in this song.

You got me with this one, Eboy. His voice gives me chills and the accompanying video is the truth. Thanks for sharing this with us all, truly.

Holly, I look forward to you "blogging" if you get the chance. I know you're loaded down with school, SLAM and life, but some of your own personal insight would be welcomed by my and many others. Cliff (Eboy)

Ah, thanks for the kind words. As much as I've grown to love the Eboy moniker, it is also nice to have a real name to go behind the person who is such a huge part of the slamonline community. I don't know what this blog is going to bring in terms of insight... It will probably be a place for me to post writing exercises and random thoughts. I have a group of friends who took all of the same writing classes during my undergrad and we are always emailing to get feedback so I figured by starting a blog I could just post it all there, in one spot. I look forward to your criticisms and comments though!

Holly, as long as you know any criticisms would be from an "elder's" point of view and not as a stance of being a know it all. Hahaha. You've got me doing that everywhere now, I hope you know. Hey, like Cheryl use's A Sista's Point Of View, maybe I could use A Elder's Point Of View. Anyway, Holly you know I'm a huge fan from your humble beginnings, so anything else you produce in the future is going to be viewed with respect and love.

Eboy,
Have you ever heard the Lauryn Hill cover of this song? It's incredible.
